What Services are Provided?

Any service that is needed for your vessel can be professionally managed. This is a management service as opposed to a service company. American Yacht does have a service division of highly qualified and competent professionals who may complete much of the work necessary on your vessel, however there are many services that may require outside assistance.

I already have people who care for my boat, do I have to use American Yacht Services?

No, many people already have trusted service people to care for much of their maintenance needs, you may continue to use these companies. Simply input their details into the system and select which company you would like to complete which service. The management program will assist you to keep your schedule organized and notify both yourself and the company completing the work when services are required. This will also be monitored by your manager to notify you if it is noticed a service has not been completed.

Where are you located?

American Yacht is based from Ft Lauderdale, Florida. However we offer services nationwide, and if you are located in an area not covered be an American Yacht service team, we will pre qualify another local company and approve them to complete the work required. Why do I need online management?

You don’t! However our service is a very cost effective way to take many of the hassles out of caring for your boat. Your manager will simply do much of the ‘leg work’ you would normally have to do in order to get services for your boat. You are provided with all the information necessary to decide who does what – you are in control, we simply help.

How can you provide this service so cheaply?

The answer is simple, your monthly fee is simply for the licensing of the software, we provide the management free of charge. However, many of the services you may require can be completed by the American Yacht service team, or if another company is selected we receive an introduction fee from them – it costs you no extra than if you did all the work yourself (often due to our purchasing power we obtain discounts for you that you may not be able to achieve yourself!)

I only have a small boat, is this still useful for me?

Yes, the size of your vessel does not matter, all boats need maintenance. This system enables you to choose what you wish to keep track of. Apart from your scheduled maintenance you can set alerts for when you would like to change your oil, look at your filters, or consider repainting the bottom of the boat. This may seem simple, of course you can “see when something needs doing”, but don’t forget, if your boat looks like it needs attention, its already past due!
